Description

The ACTISORB activated carbon dressing is an adhesive-free dressing, consisting of:

- a layer of activated carbon, obtained by carbonization of a viscose knit,

- a non-woven nylon envelope, thermoformed, containing the charcoal layer.

Is designed to adsorb wound odors by physical adsorption of malodorous molecules on the charcoal layer.

It is indicated in the treatment of all chronic wounds, in particular: ulcerations and carcinomatous proliferations, diabetic ulcers, bedsores (pressure), venous ulcers, arterial ulcers, ulcers of various etiologies, malodorous traumatic and surgical wounds.

Actisorb dressing should never be used if the packaging is opened or damaged. It should not be cut because activated carbon particles could fall into the wound and cause discoloration.
