The applicator ensures controlled, easy and aseptic application with one hand. The gel can be removed by rinsing.

The viscous texture of the gel allows it to stay in place. Even after absorbing debris and exudate, the gel remains cohesive and prevents leaking and maceration.

Purilon gel hydrates necrotic tissues and absorbs excess exudate, crust and debris from the wound.

It is made up of water purified, sodium carboxymethylcellulose and calcium alginate. A very gentle product since the gel is made up of natural ingredients and contains no additives.

Purilon gel can be used on dry and crusted necrotic wounds as well as wounds with a combination of necrotic and granulated tissue, such as leg ulcers, pressure sores, uninfected diabetic foot ulcers; it can also be used on first and second degree burns. The gel can be used throughout the healing process to ensure a moist healing environment. Purilon gel should be used with a secondary dressing.
